So I thought as a thank you to everyone here I’d give away a gun. I’m thinking maybe an Element or a Maverick. Maybe I’ll give ya the choice of which you want. Whatever that ends up being, I think it should be a pretty cool prize for simply following the blog. You’re doing that anyways, right?
So here’s how it works, I will choose at random (I’ll have my son pick a name, heh) a person who’s subscribed to the blogwithin the next 2 weeks. I will also be posting this on my FB page to make sure those people have a chance as well.
If this sounds cool, let me know. I’d like to get the contest going!
Finally blessed with good weather and a few extra days off (thanks Presidents!) I’ve been busy trying to have an much ready to go for this weekend’s Vulcan Events (http://www.vulcanevents.com/) in Tampa. It’s supposed to be more of an “old school” style show, so I’m really excited to have a look around. I’ll have quite a few guns there as well, so hopefully I’ll go home with a little more money then I came in with! If not, I’ll still mark it as a great time.
Here’s some of this weeks projects. Most of these will be at the show!
Thanks for stopping by! Tell your friends about my place, if you’d be so kind. I can really use the exposure! Thanks for your support! – Brian
Today was a day of moving and re-organizing. It was not a particularly fun day. I do feel a huge sense of relief that I’m done with carting over a million boxes and that I’m prepared, now, for summer when having A/C will be a Godsend.
Tomorrow’s shaping up to be a pretty busy day of working on some custom orders and more work on the big daddies (Longshot and Stampede). I should have some more photos up this weekend.
Thanks again for everyone checking out the site and I really appreciate you guyd spreading the word. I’m really trying to come up with a cool contest (maybe a custom Maverick prize?) to thank all of you fine folks out there for being supportive of my desire to die from paint-fume related illnesses!
Have a great rest of the week,
The Nerf Stampede
A few updates from the shop tonight. The first two are “Boo”, Jayne’s gun from Firefly and Serenity fame. I decided to go with a unique color scheme and these photos show the gun at about 85% done. The last photo is a Barrel Break I’m working on and it’s about 90% done!
Welcome to the new and improved Johnson Arms Site (many thanks to Trey Hockman at Team Rocket Science firstname.lastname@example.org!) You will be seeing a lot of behind the scenes photos from my endless march of prop projects. I hope you’ll add yourself to my watch list, I promise to make it worth your time!
I am an artist-for-hire, so please let me know if you have any job opportunites. I’m probably the most resonably-priced prop maker you’re likely to find!
