This version was made to be as close to the “show accurate” patina without trying to be totally un-original :) The grips will be getting more detail as the last part of the paintjob and then it’s off to Beth, the new owner!

I have a few more in the works if anyone wants to claim one now. There’s still time to dictate the metal and patina you want :)

Is Wilco still in business, or do you have a personal arms cache of their stuff? I would love to get another Mal pistol of my own to paint up…

I’m not sure, but this cast was from their molds, per the maker. I have not had any reason to disagree, not that I’d know exactly :)

As far as wilco, I don’t know if they’re still making stuff. I hope so though, I really like the quality of the casts for the most part!

Sorry I missed your comment, Capt’n! I don’t believe they are at this point, but eBay is where they can generally be contacted. I’ve never had success reaching them directly. Their stuff still floats around on prop sites though, I’d check the sales area to find someone selling a kit second hand. Good luck in your search!

Thanks for the info, it synchs with what I’ve found recently. The founder, last I had any contact with him, was having some health problems. My last attempt at reaching him by e-mail got no reply. Sad to say, it looks like another soul may have sailed on into the black.

On a more cheerful note, I am on the waiting list for Quantum Mechanix new metal-plated Malcolm Reynolds pistol- the Serenity (movie) version. Looks shiny!
