Here’s a project I’ve been working on for a while now and it’s finally far enough along to show some progress It’s built off of a Nerf Vucan with a lot of fabricated and found parts. I hope you guys will approve and I look forward to showing you folks the finished product soon!
Hello there! Welcome back for another installment of “what is Brian doing now??” It’s been a few weeks since the last update, so I’ll add some photos of works in progress as well as a few finished pieces. If you have any questions or wish to inquire about a commission, please send me an email at email@example.com. Thanks!
I wanted to share the latest prop build here at Johnson Arms. After seeing the new film Elysium and looking through the “Art of” book, I was possed with the idea pf building my very own Chemrail replica. It just so happens that the new Nerf Centurion is 39in long and exactly the same as the prop used in the film. This was obviously fate taunting me and I fell for it
Below is the result of a two day, 30 hour speed build. There are elements I wished to include, but could not include unfortunately. I hope you will see past these issues and still enjoy the results. I give all my thanks to the artists at WETA who made the original and get a kick out of seeing it in Nerfy form, haha.
Thanks for visiting and please don’t be a stranger!
Johnson Arms Replicas and Props
Hey Folks! I wanted to share some of the new custom pieces that I’ve been working on, I hope you will enjoy them There is quite a backlog of photos to upload so I’ll try to get after posting them all as soon as I can!
If you are interested in your own Johnson Arms piece, please shoot me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks!
Here’s a few photos of a new Nerf Strongarm pistol I’m working on. These are just progress photos, but you’ll hopefully get a feel for where its going, style-wise. (the carbon fiber vinyl on the cylinder is temporary for the photo)
This particular model has the full-rollout mod on the cylinder as well as the removal of both air restrictions. It’s become a pretty powerful blaster with those minor changes. Final photos should be up soon and it is available for anyone interested!
I will also be posting some new videos this evening on YouTube. They show the props in this post if you’d like to see more (and hear me rattle on! Heh). A search for “Johnson Arms” on youtube should find my channel!
She’s finally finished, folks! As with many of my creations, this was built over a functioning nerf recon body. There are many differences if you go to fine details, but the “look and feel” have been pretty well preserved. I’m not sure anyone has the wallet to build a CNC’ed version of this, but feel free to prove me wrong, lol. I hope you all approve and will look forward to 3.0 when my Dad is ready to tackle another one of these beauties
Just to give the proper credit to a very talented builder, the images we worked from are of an airsoft replica called “Alice” made by a UK resident named “Joe F” who goes by JoaTrash. His metal version is something to behold and I hope you’ll have a look:
