Here’s a project I’ve been working on for a while now and it’s finally far enough along to show some progress It’s built off of a Nerf Vucan with a lot of fabricated and found parts. I hope you guys will approve and I look forward to showing you folks the finished product soon!
Hey guys! Sorry for the slow posting here lately, it’s been quite hectic in the shop and when that happens I tend to forget about posting up the results. Now that the convention season is over I will get back into my usual groove, I promise!
Today’s projects is the Rueful Axe from Skyrim, but with a few changes made mainly to the handle. The friend who requested this piece will be using it on the wall of his Viking-style “Great Hall”. We decided to make the handle longer to better balance the weight of that massive axe head and it also made the overall piece more substantial for displaying.
The blade was originally sculpted in clay by my pal Robert Righter. It was then moulded and cast with resin before the paint was applied. The handled is a combination of real wood and epoxy clay that was used to make the collar pieces as well as the ringed cap at the bottom.
Thanks for checking it out and please check back soon for more cool stuff. If you have a chance, also check out and subscribe to my Youtube channel (http://www.youtube.com/johnsonarms) where I’ll be posting up videos of the finished projects as well as more tutorials and advice for those also interested in making props! Thank you!
Hello there! Welcome back for another installment of “what is Brian doing now??” It’s been a few weeks since the last update, so I’ll add some photos of works in progress as well as a few finished pieces. If you have any questions or wish to inquire about a commission, please send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks!
She’s finally finished, folks! As with many of my creations, this was built over a functioning nerf recon body. There are many differences if you go to fine details, but the “look and feel” have been pretty well preserved. I’m not sure anyone has the wallet to build a CNC’ed version of this, but feel free to prove me wrong, lol. I hope you all approve and will look forward to 3.0 when my Dad is ready to tackle another one of these beauties
Just to give the proper credit to a very talented builder, the images we worked from are of an airsoft replica called “Alice” made by a UK resident named “Joe F” who goes by JoaTrash. His metal version is something to behold and I hope you’ll have a look:
I had a lot of Firefly requests thanks to Halloween coming up and I hope these will pass inspection! There’s some other stuff mixed in as well so I hope you enjoy the photos. Please let me know if you need something for yourself

I’m sorry for the lack of posting recently, it has been a busy time here at Johnson Arms, haha. I’ve been bad about taking photos, but I hope this edition will show that I’m trying to remedy this. I hope that some of the secret projects will be post-able soon, but until then, I’ve been trying to keep busy with private commissions. There’s probably going to be a duplicate in this posting, but I hope it will be the best quality version you’ve seen thus-far, hehe. Thank you as always for your interest and support in what I do. You guys make this a lot of fun, even when it’s a stress-facotry
Thanks for checking them out and I appreciate you telling your friends who dig this kind of stuff
If you need to reach me regarding a question or commission, please email me directly at email@example.com. I promise to get back to you as soon as I can
Hey Folks! Here’s a few of the projects getting wrapped up this week. There’s a few things needing that last 1%, but that shouldn’t keep ya from enjoying the photos
I’ve had a lot of inquiries about resin replicas this week and I thought I’d let it be known that I can get just about anything if you have the funds! If there’s anything you’ve been looking for, just shoot me an email and I’ll let you know if it’s possible. Thank you very much!
