20120214-002911.jpg

I got a lot done tonight, despite the cold weather we’re seeing here in the south. Each gun still has work left to be done, but I figured it was best to let them sit overnight to dry.

I hope they’re looking good/appropriate for their respective themes!

This project is using the body of a shot last and the stock off a praxis. The M16 magazine is a stand-in for whatever will go there eventually. Being a supersoaker, there is no trigger, but I’ll add one for athestetics as the build progresses.

HALO style Nerf Praxis and Element

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! (Those in the US, of course, but we can all take a day to give thanks for what he have, ay?)

I’m working on a lot of new stuff, but here’s a few photos to give you guys a look. Let me know what you think!

Shop Update 11-16-2011

Hi Folks!

I’m just getting caught up with the holiday rush that’s begun so forgive the slowdown on posts :) I’ve also had the opportunity to work on some projects that I’m not able to share right now, but hopefully I will after the first of the year. It’s pretty cool stuff so I’m bummed to not be able to share right now. I hope these photos will do until I get a chance to edit and upload the other photos still on the memory card! :)

Starting off, I’m working on a Nerf longstrike with a recon barrel, trying to make a cool steampunk style rifle. The scope is from a Longshot

next we have a Nerf Element with some screw holes being filled and internals gutted to make it a prop only. It’s strating to look a bit like something from Terra Nova maybe.. :)

Buzzbee Tommy 20 being done in a 50’s deco style, might end up looking like something out of Fallout, I hope

A detail shot of last week’s Lasertag LTX blaster. It shows a bit of the smaller stuff sometimes lost in the full gun shots

Stuff that I found cool: The N7 Rifle from Mass Effect 3 by Volpin Props

Harrison Krix and his team made this awesome prop for Bioware’s Comic-con booth. They made it in about 2 weeks. Incredible work :) Have a look, there’s even a speed video of some weathering of another very cool Mass Effect gun.

Check it out here!

What? No new pictures?

Hey everyone! Sorry, but no new photos yet because I actually took a few days off to go to Orlando for MegaCon. That was a good decision :) I’ve never seen so many people just enjoying themselves at one time! I also admit I saw a lot of firsts, not all of them images I wanted in my brain. But I digress… I ended up selling two of the three guns I took with me before I got to the ticket counter, so I ended up having some cash to spend. (Forgot what that felt like…heh). I ended up buying a PKD Blaster replica kit from the movie Blade runner, so although I’ll most likely sell it, it will still be a lot of fun to make one of my favorite movie guns. Some day I’ll find a reasonable way to get my hands on a M41-A Pulse Rifle from Aliens, but then I’ll have to pry it out of my hands after I finish it!

:)

More stuff soon! Have a good one until then!
